  The letter is attributed to Jude, identified as "a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James". It's thought to be a response to the emergence of false teachers within the early church, who were undermining the faith with their teachings and actions. 

   
• Purpose:

  Jude's primary purpose is to warn the church about these false teachers and to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith. He urges them to "earnestly contend for the faith" and to build themselves up in the truth.

  • False Teachers: Jude describes these false teachers as "ungodly people" who have "crept in" among the believers, distorting the truth and leading others astray. He warns that they will be judged by God.
